Material Planner

Role Overview

Our team in Szigetszentmiklós is looking for a Material Planner. The Material Planner will be responsible for managing the end-to-end planning, material procurement, and inventory activities for an assigned portfolio of materials. This engaging dual role combines materials planning and MRP execution with coordination with direct procurement team & suppliers, ensuring the timely availability of materials while maintaining appropriate inventory levels and supporting overall departmental objectives. This is a hybrid position that requires a minimum of three in-office days per week. First 3 months onsite for onboarding purpuses. 

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned materials and inventory through MRP to meet Department goals & objectives. The task to manage inventory efficiently through A/B/C categories, proper replenishment strategies & daily exception activity.
• Perform daily and weekly interactions with the following departments: Logistics, Production Planning, Order Administrators, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, Operations, Supplier Management.
• Convert purchase requests to purchase orders in EMEA region.
• Executes all of the tasks comprising routine material planning processes.
• Completes routine tasks as assigned and apply problem solving where needed
• Accountable for planning of materials ordering and delivery for production
• Identifies material requirements based on received requisitions.
• Selects approved suppliers based upon price and availability.
• Places follow up phone calls to confirm and/or modify delivery of purchased materials.
• Fosters mutually respectful relationships with suppliers that are beneficial both to IGT and its suppliers.
• Maintains material databases to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and/or intermediate level experience in Planning and/or Procurement
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
• Fluent English language skills
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Self-motivated
• Able to perform primary tasks with little or no supervision
• Must be able to pass a security investigation
• Has intermediate level proficiency with SAP
• Has intermediate knowledge of / skills in the content areas of:
  • Direct Procurement
  • Microsoft Office suite
