Preamble
The privacy of your information is important to us. This job applicant privacy notice (“Privacy Notice”) is intended to inform you how International Game Technology, PLC and its subsidiaries (“IGT”) process information collected when you voluntarily submit a job application’s request to the igt.com website.

As used in this Privacy Notice, terms such as “we” or “our” or “us” refer to IGT, its current and future subsidiaries as well as its designated service provider , SAP SuccessFactors, providing the recruiting service (“Service”) on behalf of IGT.

Consent
The ground to the processing of your information and to the provisions as set forth in this Privacy Notice now, and as amended by us, is based on your freely given (the Service collects any information you voluntarily provide when you submit a job application), specific, informed (the Privacy Notice describes the ways in which the Service processes your information), and unambiguous consent (the use of this Service requires your affirmative action “opt-in”).

If you decide not to provide your information, we may not be able to match your qualifications with any of our job posting.

Collected information
We and our designated service provider may collect the following type of information when you apply for a job opening:

  • Demographic information including first/last/middle names, gender, title
  • Contact information including postal (street name and number, zip code, state/country, and/or email addresses, land and/or mobile phone numbers
  • Employment information including resumes/Curriculum Vitae, employment and volunteer history
  • Education information including academic history, certifications or licenses held, or language proficiencies

And

  • Any correspondence or communication sent via the Service as well as other reasonably relevant information related to your use of the Service including without limitation your IP addresses, standard web log information and content provided to us or our service provider when contacted for assistance.

You do not have to provide us with your information; however, please note that some or all of the information requested by the application may be necessary for employment evaluation.

Purpose
We may use your information for the following and related purposes to:

  • Determine your qualifications for employment related to the requested and potentially future job openings and make a hiring decision.
  • Contact you for purpose of responding to your job application(s) or to your inquiry.
  • Notify you for new jobs matching your preferences and other events and announcements if you have opted to receive them.
  • To improve your website experience and customize our Service we provide to job applicants
  • To comply with applicable employment & labor laws or to respond to a public authority request
  • To protect our rights or the integrity of this website

We may also de-identify, combine or aggregate the information we collect for analyzing usage statistics and trends.

We will not use your personal information for purposes that are incompatible with the purposes for which we originally received your information without your express consent.

Safeguards
We have reasonable and customary security safeguards in place to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, and disclosure. Please be aware, however, that no information system is 100% secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee against all potential security breaches.  Moreover, the transmission of information over wireless and wired networks is not inherently secure, and we are not responsible for the transmission of information over networks that we do not control.

Disclosure
We may disclose your information to: (a) our staff and designated agents to whom you apply for job openings and other employees who have a need to know in order to carry out their responsibilities regarding recruitment activities and/or employment and labor laws; (b) our service provider (SAP SuccessFactor) who works on our behalf to provide the Service  and for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice; (c) when disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, investigate fraud or breaches of a contract or a law; (d) and respond to a legal process or a request from a public authority.

We will not sell or lease your information to third parties without your consent.

Storage
Your information is stored on IGT’s servers and the servers of our third-parties to provide the Service on our behalf. Your information may be transferred across national borders because we have servers located worldwide and our third-parties are located in different countries around the world.

International data transfer
IGT may transfer your information to IGT affiliates and authorized service providers in the United States and elsewhere in the world. IGT is using approved standard contractual contracts or other appropriate means to transfer your information from the European Economic Area and other countries with data transfer restrictions.

IGT was a participant in the U.S-E.U. and U.S-Swiss Safe Harbor Privacy Programs. Although the Safe Harbor Framework has been invalidated by the European Court of Justice for transfer of EU Personal Information, IGT continues to comply with the Safe Harbor Principles as a demonstration of our commitment to the protection of your information.

Access, correction and other rights
Once you have applied and established a profile through the use of our Service, you will have online access to update or correct information you provided online except for the content of the resume you have submitted. A new resume may however be submitted.

You may also request to get information that we hold about you. If you would like us to delete your information that you have provided via the Service, please contact us as indicated in this Privacy Notice.  Please note that some or all of the information you voluntarily provided may be necessary for employment evaluation.

You may also submit your request by contacting us as indicated in this Privacy Notice. Please note that we may request you to confirm your identity before responding to your inquiry or sending your information.

Retention period
We will retain your information for as long as it is relevant for the purposes for which it is collected, to comply with applicable laws relating to recruiting, and for a period of one year thereafter for potential match with new job openings. After expiration of the retention period, your information is securely disposed of.

Third-party websites
Please note that the Service may contain links to other third party websites which may collect your personal information when you apply for and submit a job application. The privacy practices mentioned in this notice do not apply and we invite you to examine the privacy statements and the Terms and Conditions that govern the other websites.

Children's Information
We do not target or knowingly solicit information from, or market to, children under the age of 13 and under the age of 16 when applicable.

Changes to this notice
We may revise this Privacy Notice from time to time as we deem appropriate. Should we do so, we will change the date indicated at the top of this notice. Please check this Privacy Notice frequently to ensure that you are in agreement with any change.
