Responsibilities
The Material Handler IV - Finished Goods is a senior-level warehouse professional responsible for the accurate storage, movement, processing, and distribution of finished goods inventory. This role serves as a subject matter expert within logistics operations, supports inventory accuracy initiatives, troubleshoots complex inventory issues, and provides guidance and training to team members. The position plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders are shipped accurately, inventory records remain compliant, and warehouse operations achieve productivity and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, process, store, and distribute finished goods inventory in accordance with established procedures.
- Perform advanced inventory transactions within SAP, WMS, or other inventory management systems.
- Coordinate and execute order fulfillment activities including picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shipment errors, and stock variances.
- Conduct cycle counts, inventory audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Operate powered industrial equipment safely, including forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks.
- Verify shipping documentation and ensure compliance with customer and carrier requirements.
- Support warehouse optimization projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor inventory locations and ensure proper material flow throughout the facility.
- Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Material Handlers I-III.
- Assist supervisors with workflow planning, labor balancing, and operational execution.
- Serve as a key escalation point for inventory, shipment, and system-related issues.
- Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and inventory control standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 4-7+ years of warehouse, logistics, inventory control, or distribution experience.
- Advanced understanding of warehouse operations and finished goods management.
- Experience using SAP, WMS, RF scanners, and inventory management systems.
- Certified or experienced in operating material handling equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
