Overview
The Senior MSB Licensing Specialist supports the AML & MSB Compliance team by managing the Company’s Money Services Business (MSB), Money Transmitter License (MTL), and ATM-related licensing obligations. This role is responsible for ensuring licensing applications, renewals, regulatory filings, and related compliance activities are completed accurately and on time across the jurisdictions where the Company operates.
This is a hybrid, Las Vegas-based individual contributor role reporting to the Director, AML & MSB Compliance.
What You'll Do
- Manage MSB, MTL, and ATM licensing activities, including new applications, renewals, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
- Oversee licensing workflows to ensure required tasks, filings, and submissions are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
- Maintain licensing information and case activity within the Nationwide Multistate Licensing System (NMLS).
- Coordinate with internal teams to collect information needed for licensing filings, audits, investigations, and regulatory inquiries.
- Prepare and submit required monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual regulatory filings.
- Interpret federal and state licensing requirements and provide clear guidance to internal business partners.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, investigators, and licensing-system providers as needed.
- Monitor changes to MSB, money transmission, and related regulatory requirements; assess the business impact and communicate recommendations to management.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and other stakeholders to resolve licensing and compliance matters.
- Support broader compliance, risk management, financial-crime research, and special investigation initiatives.
What We're Looking For
- Five or more years of experience in MSB licensing, money transmitter licensing, gaming licensing, or a closely related regulatory compliance field.
- Experience managing licensing applications, renewals, regulatory filings, and related compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Working knowledge of MSB, MTL, and/or financial-services regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and apply complex federal and state laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organization, and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate requirements and recommendations clearly to various stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, discretion, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and regulatory licensing systems or subscription-based compliance tools; NMLS and State Examination System experience is preferred.
