Role Overview
As an Infrastructure Engineer your involvement will begin from deploying network infrastructure for SportsBetting clients and continue with support and maintenance once system is in the production. You will be part of SportsBetting infrastructure team and throughout this process, you will closely collaborate with team members from various disciplines, including Database, Operations, Web, Mobile Apps and the Firstline Support team. Also, you will collaborate with our clients, partners and vendors on network infrastructure projects.
Your team lead will be there to support you, provide training, and offer technical guidance. What You'll Do
- Deploy, manage and troubleshoot the operational state of a production data centers network infrastructure
- Implement new network-related features and services and optimize existing ones
- Configure and maintain networking monitoring and logging tools
- Implement security best practices, including access controls, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Collaborate with teams worldwide to streamline processes and workflows
- Monitor and ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures
- Troubleshoot and address operational issues promptly
About You
- Direct experience with complex networks for at least five years
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate firewalls including IPS/IDS, SDWAN and VPN technologies
- Good knowledge of LAN technologies and experience with network switching products from various vendors
- Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
- Hands-on experience with load balancer products and technologies
- Knowledge of CDN solutions
- Experience with network monitoring and logging tools, both enterprise and open source
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work independently and without constant supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to details and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic sports betting environment
What We'd Prefer
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Industry certifications from networking vendors
- Passion for sports betting and a good understanding of industry trends
