We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer - Technical Lead to join our team and drive technical leadership that fuels business growth, enhances cloud infrastructure, streamline processes using automation, and leverages AI/ML technologies. As a seasoned expert in software engineering, you will design, develop, and deploy high-quality software applications that meet industry standards for scalability, security, and reliability.

 

  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: Lead a team of 5+ engineers to deliver high-quality software applications that meet industry standards for scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Team Management: Manage the day-to-day activities of your team, including prioritization, task allocation, and progress tracking.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and expertise in software engineering and technology.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, Studios, Platform) to ensure alignment on technical requirements and deliverables.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with stakeholders (business leaders, product managers, customers) to understand their needs and deliver accordingly.
  • Project Planning: Lead the planning and execution of large-scale software development projects, including estimating timelines, resources, and costs.
  • Technical Vision: Develop and communicate the technical vision for our software development projects, aligning with business goals and objectives.
  • Technical Architecture: Design and implement technical architecture for software applications, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) to ensure efficient use of resources and compliance with industry standards.
  • Code Review and Refactoring: Conduct regular code reviews and refactor code as needed to maintain high-quality software applications.

Qualifications

  • Master/Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • 10+ years of professional development experience.
  • Solid programming experience with one or more of the following languages and technologies: C++, C#, Java, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing complex software applications that drive business value.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization technologies (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with GitHub for source control management and code collaboration.
  • Knowledge of slot math systems, including RTP (Return to Player), hit frequency, volatility, and other key metrics. Ability to understand and communicate the technical implications of mathematical models on software development.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $76,179/yr - $180,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
