The Manufacturing Test Engineering Manager will oversee the personnel, activities, and budget within the Manufacturing Test Engineering department including the design and execution of test hardware and processes. This may include PCB and sub-assembly testing to be performed at supplier locations, design and implementation of test hardware and software tools, and  facilitate in-process testing and firmware downloads within manufacturing operations. The Test Engineering Manager will direct the staff and activities of test personnel who ensure components and assembled products meet IGT's company standards and objectives.
 

  • Drive and review test design, planning and communication between department test staff and Hardware/Software Engineering, to ensure smooth integration of new products into production and that test requirements are met.
  • Manage the design, development, and deployment of test fixtures and processes to contract manufacturers that ensures testability, functionality, and manufacturability in the testing of PCBA and electronic assemblies.  Ensure quality standards of delivered products are achieved.
  • Develop departmental standards and procedures.
  • Review and approve the testing and evaluation methods of standard and special devices.
  • Specify tests to be performed, compile data, and make recommendations for changes required in testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, and/or new testing requirements.
  • Prioritizes schedules based on product introduction and manufacturing and engineering schedules and needs.
  • Assists in the evaluation decisions for purchasing test equipment.
  • Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, electronic, or test engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 7 years in a test engineering or similar environment.
  • 3 years in a technical leadership role (supervision/management) directly leading engineers and technicians.
  • Experienced in test process evaluation and development along with DFT and DFM principles.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, Mentor Graphics, DxDesign/PADS (or similar schematic capture and layout tools), AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. 
  • Accomplished in Microsoft Office and advanced ERP systems (SAP experience a plus). 
  • Experience with contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies.
  • Design of digital and analog circuits.
  • Knowledge of computer interface protocols.
  • Expertise with test instrumentation and fixtures preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced languages (C++, C#, etc.) commonly employed in firmware development.

  • Ability to assign, prioritize, and status both long and short-term projects.
  • Serve as a member of the Test Engineering design review team.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $95,000 - $120,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
