IGT is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Test Engineer who enjoys working in a rewarding fast-paced collaborative environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capability to participate in consultation involving contract manufacturer testing to improve raw material/component quality by designing or advising on tests for boards, subassemblies and/or full electronic gaming machines within our Test Engineering group. This group is responsible for test, evaluation, and development of test equipment to be used by manufacturing and contract manufacturers in the production of IGT Products. Test Engineering works closely with our Design Engineering teams to perform tests/experiments to assist in the design process. Test Engineering also collaborates with our internal and external partners to provide test solutions that help achieve world class cost, quality and NPI success for IGT products. Additionally, this individual must be able to oversee the implementation of robust manufacturing test engineering solutions and techniques that meet manufacturing requirements while anticipating the vulnerabilities and/or risks associated with the chosen approach. 
 

The Manufacturing Test Engineer ensures components and assembled products meet company standards and objectives.  Key deliverables and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Design, development, and deployment of test fixtures and processes to internal customers and external customers (contract manufacturer) that ensures testability, functionality, and manufacturability in the testing of PCBA and electronic assemblies.  Ensure quality standards of delivered products are achieved.
  • Provide test support for NPI (new product introduction) – conceives of, develops, and designs the best method for testing PCBA’s and electronic assemblies.  Review existing design and communicate with Hardware/Software Engineering, to ensure smooth integration of new products into production and that test requirements are met.
  • Consult on vendor/contract manufacturer testing to improve raw material / component quality by designing or advising on tests for PCBA’s and subassemblies.  Collaborate with internal and external QE/QA departments to ensure quality standards are adhered to.
  • Contribute to the departmental standards and procedures.
  • Specify tests to be performed, compile data, and make recommendations for changes required in testing equipment, procedures, manufacturing processes, and/or new testing requirements.
  • Provide input in the evaluation decisions for purchasing test equipment.

Qualifications


Education:

  • BS in electrical, electronic, or test engineering or related technical discipline.


Experience:

  • 5 years in a test engineering or related engineering experience.
  • Experienced in test process evaluation and development along with DFT and DFM principles.
  • Working knowledge of LabVIEW, Mentor Graphics, DxDesign/PADS, or similar schematic capture and layout tools.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, and SolidWorks a plus.
  • Accomplished in Microsoft Office and advanced ERP systems (SAP experience a plus). 
  • Experience with contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies.
  • Design of digital and analog circuits.· Knowledge of computer interface protocols.
  • Familiarity with Arduino software and hardware, preferred.  
  • Expertise with test instrumentation and fixtures, preferred.
  • Familiarity with advanced languages (C++, C#, etc.) commonly employed in firmware development.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $85,000 - $95,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
