Long Description
International Game Technology (“IGT”) is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Regional Controller – EMEA to lead the accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and controllership activities across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (“EMEA”) region. This role will serve as a strategic finance leader supporting regional business operations while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, local statutory reporting requirements, internal controls, and Company accounting policies across multiple jurisdictions.
The Regional Controller will partner closely with regional leadership, corporate finance, tax, treasury, legal, and external auditors to support financial integrity, operational execution, and business growth within a complex multinational and highly regulated environment. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capabilities, and experience managing finance operations across diverse international markets.
Location: Poland, Serbia or Hungary
Responsibilities
- Lead all regional controllership activities across the EMEA region, including general accounting, month-end close, statutory reporting, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP, Company policies, and local statutory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Oversee compliance with local tax, regulatory, and financial reporting obligations throughout the region.
- Partner with corporate accounting and FP&A teams to support consolidated reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting requirements.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and ensure compliance with SOX and Company control frameworks.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, statutory audits, and regulatory examinations across the EMEA region.
- Support regional business initiatives, restructurings, integrations, and operational projects impacting EMEA operations.
- Drive process improvement and standardization initiatives across regional finance operations to improve efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness.
- Manage and develop regional accounting and finance teams while fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Partner with treasury, tax, legal, and operational leadership on cash management, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, legal entity management, and regional compliance matters.
- Monitor developments in accounting standards, tax regulations, and regulatory requirements across EMEA jurisdictions and assess impacts to the business.
- Support acquisition integration activities, purchase accounting matters, and other strategic corporate initiatives as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including multinational or regional controllership experience.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and multinational statutory reporting requirements.
- Experience managing accounting and finance operations across multiple EMEA jurisdictions and currencies.
- Public accounting experience and/or experience within a complex multinational organization preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to operate effectively across cultures and geographies.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
- Fluency in English required; additional European or regional language capabilities are a plus.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in gaming, technology, financial technology, or other regulated industries.
- Experience supporting mergers, integrations, or business transformation initiatives.
- Familiarity with SOX compliance and operating within private equity-backed environments.
- Experience managing finance operations in highly regulated international markets.
