Responsibilities

IGT is seeking a highly motivated and capable Transportation Specialist II to join our fast-paced transportation department, overseeing the safe and efficient global movement of gaming products. This critical role involves managing domestic and international logistics, utilizing various modes of transport—air, ocean, truck, and rail—to ensure timely deliveries to customers. The position operates in a dynamic environment, focusing on superior customer satisfaction and handling urgent shipment requests in the Parts Distribution Center while collaborating across departments to meet strict deadlines. As part of a global leader in gaming technology, this role plays a vital part in ensuring IGT continues to deliver quality and reliability to customers around the world. 
 

  • Coordinate and process shipments for domestic and international destinations, including returns to IGT's Reno logistics hub.
  • Schedule transportation services, allocate drivers, and plan efficient global routes.
  • Prepare and process domestic and international transportation documentation in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Process UPS, FedEx, and DHL international and domestic shipments to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Work closely with freight forwarders to track shipments, obtain updates, respond to customs requests, and revise documentation as needed.
  • Oversee tracking and delivery timelines for all shipments, prioritizing and handling urgent hot shipment requests for overnight delivery. 
  • Coordinate with warehouse personnel to ensure shipments are processed and ready for same-day departure. 

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of domestic and/or international transportation and shipping experience.
  • Demonstrate a collaborative approach, the ability to build strong relationships, and effectively work in a team-oriented setting.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on ensuring accuracy in all work.
  • Proficient in proactive problem-solving and decision-making in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools, including Excel.
  • Maintain a Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm schedule with flexibility for overtime as needed. 

 
Preferred Qualifications 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and generating reports.
  • Familiarity with SAP systems for transportation and logistics operations.
  • Understanding of documentation requirements for international shipments.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location. These factors may result in variation in starting pay. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $20/hr– $24/hr USD, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 
  
Base pay is one component of IGT’s total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities.
