IGT is seeking an In Process Inspector III to perform advanced in-process and end-of-line inspection activities that support product quality, configuration accuracy, and compliance across manufacturing operations. The position helps ensure products meet internal workmanship standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations through inspection, verification, and issue resolution support. Based within IGT Reno, this role reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor and partners with manufacturing and cross-functional teams to support on-time delivery, process improvement, and consistent product quality.
- Perform advanced in-process and end-of-line inspections to ensure gaming devices meet quality workmanship standards, configuration requirements, and regulatory compliance prior to release/shipment.
- Performing functional testing of all electronic gaming devices in accordance to established Test Engineering criteria.
- Inspects each electronic gaming device to established workmanship criteria prior to release to shipment.
- Uses measuring tools and gauges to ensure product is within Quality Workmanship Standards.
- Validates order configuration in SAP to actual production outputs.
- Performing the wiping and/or removal of regulated software from gaming devices prior to shipment to customers and regulatory agencies.
- Interact with internal customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues holding up an order or process.
- Works closely with customer facing groups including Global Order Management, Engineering, and Production Control.
- Recognizes deviations and trends, summarizes and communicates findings, and implements appropriate next steps.
- Motivates, trains and mentors less experienced personnel to achieve production quality goals.
Specific Accountabilities
- Perform first article and incoming inspections.
- Determine acceptability of questionable, nonconforming, or damaged production materials.
- Review and disposition nonconforming material.
- Use SAP to research build and material allocation issues.
- Monitor compliance with area policies and procedures, including process instructions, ISO documents, safety requirements, and regulatory procedures.
- Provide input on process improvements to technicians and management and help evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Business or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Minimum 3 years of SAP functional experience.
- Working knowledge of business processes across manufacturing, logistics, and engineering support functions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, including in group or presentation settings.
- Strong attention to detail, independent problem-solving skills and self-starting initiative.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced understanding of SAP/MES as it relates to configuration, allocations, bills of materials, and compliance requirements.
- Availability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to stand, move, and remain physically active throughout the entire shift.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required gaming credentials (Nevada Gaming Control Board gaming card and/or gaming license).
- Ability to pass a background check and security investigation.
