Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Development)
Location: Moncton, NB (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Software Engineering (Development) to lead critical platform development teams based in Moncton. This role is instrumental in driving execution against our technology roadmap, ensuring engineering excellence, and developing high‑performing teams that deliver meaningful business outcomes.
What You’ll Do
Lead & Deliver
- Lead multiple software engineering teams responsible for designing, building, testing, and delivering platform and product capabilities.
- Drive predictable execution against roadmap commitments while balancing speed, quality, and technical sustainability.
- Track and manage engineering delivery metrics, risks, and dependencies.
Technical & Platform Excellence
- Champion modern software engineering best practices including secure coding, automated testing, CI/CD, and scalable architectures.
- Ensure platform stability, performance, and resiliency across supported systems.
- Partner with Architecture and senior technical leaders to guide technology strategy and evolution.
People & Culture
- Build, lead, and inspire high‑performing engineering teams through coaching, mentoring, and clear accountability.
- Support talent development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partner Across the Business
- Collaborate closely with Product, Program, and Architecture teams to translate business needs into actionable technical plans.
- Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 10+ years of software development experience, including senior‑level leadership of engineering teams.
- Proven experience delivering complex, enterprise‑scale software platforms.
- Strong understanding of Agile development, DevOps practices, and modern SDLC frameworks.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting distributed or globally located teams.
- Background in platform development, infrastructure, or highly regulated software environments.
- Experience in gaming, fintech, or other high‑availability, transaction‑based industries.
