Position Overview
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely shipment of machines to and from customers, in accordance with authorized production orders, customer requirements, and company specifications. This role supports daily operational objectives by coordinating logistics activities, resources, and transactions, while proactively resolving issues and ensuring compliance with established processes, procedures, and quality standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining efficient operations, meeting delivery commitments, and supporting overall customer satisfaction.
Responsabilities
- Ensures customer orders are organized for shipment in accordance with customer-requested delivery dates. Support expedited shipments in case of urgency.
- Provide regular cost analyses for transportation services.
- Handling logistics disruptions and productivity problems.
- Finding ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Creating and maintaining shipment schedules, considering lead times, production capacities, and forwarder resource constraints.
- Assisting with other departmental tasks whenever required.
- Closely liaise with the staff of the warehouse department and production team to establish an efficient order control and effective customer service process
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience in the production environment.
- Good working knowledge of MS office and SAP tools is required.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of logistics forecasting, capacity planning, and cost control.
