Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and carrying out activities related to network automation, monitoring, and automation tool support. Applies a systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approach for modifications of existing applications, simple changes, reports and request for network automation with minimal supervision from more senior engineers.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
- Assists in the planning, daily operation, and maintenance of Automation Systems.
- Perform project related tasks in alignment with senior engineer activities.
- Assists in performing analysis and prepares concise reports as to the results including recommendations for updates, repairs, and reconfigurations where necessary.
- Receives feedback from Operations or Network technicians in monitoring activities to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of system performance.
- Develops and implements optimized automation systems.
- Develops and distributes automated reports and adhoc reports.
- Schedules, plans, and performs periodic scheduled maintenance to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels.
- Develops and implements virtualization solutions and software integration with other applications.
- Plans, coordinates and leads Automation projects.
- Coordinates with vendors.
- Responds to user problems, and works problems to resolution.
- Documents steps taken to resolve user problems and shares information with peers.
- Creates documentation to include process and procedure documents.
- Familiar and complies with IGT policies, processes and procedures.
- Familiar and complies with DCA ISO 9001, 20000 and IGT 27001 processes and procedures.
- Demonstrates a relentless commitment to meeting and exceeding customers' expectations while also achieving the goal of reducing the risks and costs of providing services.
- Adheres to service level agreements by following established SLA performance requirements.
- Adheres to IT best practices by following established IT best practice performance.
- Adheres to Incident Management process and performs assigned incident identification, notification, documentation, and intermediate level diagnosis and remediation activities.
- Adheres to Change Management process and performs assigned change activities including monitoring and tracking change activities. Participates and documents maintenance activities to ensure activities are completed with SLA requirements.
- Adheres to Release Management process and performs assigned network hardware and software release actions. Assists engineers in planning efforts associated with projects and releases.
- Adheres to Audit Management process and procedures and performs assigned actions to capture audit evidence criteria. Assists engineers in planning efforts associated with audit management.
- Collaborates with other parts of the organization as required to first share and analyze customer requirements and then develop and implement the best strategy and processes to meet those requirements.
- Participates in individual professional development by completing assigned development plan, participating in mentoring activities, tracking and reporting of development, and communicating career path goals and objectives.

Qualifications
Educational
- Bachelor of Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.

Years of Experience:
- Good working knowledge of hardware and software applications.
- Experience in technical IS and technical support.
- Knowledge and experience of IGT gaming systems.
- Working knowledge of Windows 2003/2008, AIX Unix, SQL Server 2005/2008 and Microsoft Office Suite 2007.
Preferred:
- Provides first-rate 1st and 2nd level customer support, administration and reporting to client using IGT Systems products.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including skills, experience, education, and geographic location. These factors may result in variation in starting pay. The estimated starting compensation range for this role is $100,000 – $130,000 USD, based on a good-faith assessment at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary. IGT complies with all applicable pay transparency and compensation laws and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is one component of IGT’s total rewards program. Depending on the role, employees may be eligible for bonus or commission opportunities. IGT also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include a 401(k) savings plan with company contributions, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and other wellness programs, subject to eligibility requirements.
