Overview

IGT is seeking an Interim Director, Global Benefits to provide immediate leadership, operational stability, and executive-level guidance during a post-merger integration phase.

This assignment will focus on:

  • Managing two parallel U.S. benefits structures resulting from the IGT and Everi merger
  • Ensuring compliance, cost control, and employee experience continuity
  • Preparing the organization for a comprehensive benefits RFP process targeting the 2027 plan year
  • Assessing current global benefits programs and recommending a forward-looking integration roadmap

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring rapid assessment, strong vendor governance, financial discipline, and the ability to operate with urgency and executive presence in a complex, global environment.

Location: Remote (2 days per week onsite as needed)
Duration: Approximately 6–9 months

Key Mandate & Deliverables

1. Stabilize and Oversee Dual Benefits Structures

  • Provide operational leadership over two legacy benefits programs currently running in parallel
  • Ensure consistent administration, compliance, and employee support across both plans
  • Identify risk areas, inefficiencies, and integration opportunities
  • Partner with Finance to manage cost controls and funding models (self-insured and fully insured)

2. Lead 2027 Benefits RFP Preparation

  • Assess current vendor performance, contracts, and cost structures
  • Define RFP strategy, scope, and evaluation criteria
  • Align stakeholders across People & Culture, Finance, Legal, and Procurement
  • Develop timeline, governance model, and executive briefing materials
  • Prepare the organization for execution of the RFP process

3. Execute Critical Operational Milestones

  • Lead global open enrollment planning and execution
  • Oversee compliance with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, GDPR, and international regulations
  • Ensure accurate reporting, audits, and risk mitigation practices
  • Oversee global broker and vendor relationships during transition period

4. Provide Interim Team Leadership

  • Provide clear direction and accountability to the existing global benefits team
  • Maintain operational continuity and service standards
  • Identify capability gaps and recommend long-term organizational structure considerations
  • Document processes and prepare transition materials for a permanent leader (if applicable)

5. Deliver Executive-Level Insights

  • Provide the CPO and executive leadership with:
    • Current-state assessment
    • Cost and risk analysis
    • Integration recommendations
    • Strategic roadmap for unified benefits structure

Success Measures for This Assignment

Success in this role will be defined by:

  • Seamless administration of dual benefits programs during merger integration
  • Clear RFP strategy and readiness plan for 2027
  • Identified cost optimization and risk mitigation opportunities
  • Strong vendor governance and performance oversight
  • Positive employee experience during transition
  • Comprehensive transition plan and documentation for long-term leadership

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive benefits leadership experience, including global scope
  • Proven experience managing benefits through M&A integration or organizational restructuring
  • Experience overseeing self-insured and fully insured health plans
  • Direct experience leading or preparing large-scale benefits RFP processes
  • Strong financial acumen, including cost modeling and funding analysis
  • Executive-level communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders
  • Experience working within complex, regulated, multi-country environments

Preferred:

  • CEBS or similar certification
  • Experience in global, matrixed organizations
  • Experience with SAP, SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms

This is a contract assignment with a target duration of approximately 6–9 months.

Compensation is $3,000–$3,500 per week, with flexibility based on experience, scope, and geographic location. IGT complies with all applicable local pay transparency laws.
