Compensation & Benefits
At IGT, compensation is determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, and work location.
- Hourly Pay Range: $24.00 – $25.50
- Actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and applicable local requirements

Overview
The Field Service Technician is responsible for servicing and supporting IGT gaming equipment across casino locations in Eastern Canada, with the majority of work based in Sudbury, Timmins, North Bay, and Sault Ste. Marie.
This is a remote, field-based role where you will independently manage service tickets, travel to customer sites, and ensure gaming systems are installed, maintained, and operating efficiently.
Success in this role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, adaptability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
What You'll Do:
Field Service & Technical Support
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues on gaming equipment at customer sites
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal system performance
- Install, repair, and upgrade slot machines, electronic table games, and bingo systems (hardware and software)
- Conduct site assessments and ensure proper setup and configuration of equipment
Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Represent IGT on-site and build strong relationships with casino partners
- Provide basic training and support to customers on equipment functionality
- Respond to service requests efficiently and professionally
Operations & Reporting
- Accurately track and document service activity using internal systems
- Support system upgrades, conversions, and installations
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards
What We're Looking For
Core Qualifications
- Background or education in electronics (e.g., computers, radios, TVs, copiers, or similar)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage service priorities in the field
- Comfortable with physically demanding work, including moving heavy equipment using tools such as dollies
- Willingness to travel, including occasional travel for up to a full week
- Valid driver’s license
Technical Skills
- Experience with ServiceMax (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of SAP
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in casino gaming or a related industry
- Experience working in a regulated environment
Additional Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment
- Must be authorized to work in Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or valid work permit)
