Responsibilities

Are you flexible, motivated, and a great communicator? Do you have strong customer service skills? Then IGT is the place to work! This position plays a vital role in enhancing the lottery Player experience and acting as brand ambassadors for the Michigan Lottery at external events and within the community. The person in this role will be responsible for interacting with new and seasoned Lottery players, enhancing the Michigan Lottery brand and creating a positive one-of-a-kind lottery experience to Michigan communities at Festival, Fairs, Trade shows and Sporting Events. As our Special Events Associate, you will have an active role in the sales and marketing of lottery products on a large scale. And this position offers a quarterly sales incentive bonus (subject to policy and guidelines). 

 

  •   Assist with the execution of events from start to finish (including assisting with loading in/out, coordinating games and promotional activities, running contests, setting up/breaking down equipment such as tents, tables, lottery equipment, inflatable games, and more)
  •   Educate and answer consumer questions on games/promotions for Michigan Lottery products.
  •   Represent the Michigan Lottery brand in a positive, knowledgeable manner.
  •   Accurately balance/verify inventory and cash at opening and closing of Michigan Lottery sponsored events.
  •   Ensure customers’ Standards of Excellence are met at all points of retail distribution.
  •   Evaluate and manage product inventory, display, and presentation.
  •   Complete required paperwork and assist with other projects as they are assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  •   2+ year of sales, customer service, retail, merchandising, or related customer facing industry.
  •   Skilled in basic use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  •   Excellent public speaking and communication skills
  •   Outgoing, energetic, quick-thinking, and comfortable talking with the public.
  •   Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
  •   Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  •   Prior experience with lottery and/or marketing techniques are highly preferred, but not required.
  •   Knowledge of and ability to handle and balance money transactions accurately

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $29,100 - $52,458. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance. Note: programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
