Responsibilities

Analyze the needs of the user, requirements elicitation
Design, test and develop the software to meet those needs
Recommend upgrades for existing systems and programs
Develop separate elements of a software that work well in the program as a whole
Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software
Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance
Revisit the development process to fix bugs or address client concerns

Qualifications

Proficient in any of the following programming languages: Java, Python, C#, Javascript
Some experience in automated unit testing is also desirable
Some experience with source code control such as SVN and/or GIT
Well organized, good communication skills and desire to learn
Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large volumes of data
Must be able to work 37.5 hours a week during the summer with the possibility of extension into the fall/spring at a minimum of 12 hours a week
Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar degree program
