Overview
The Product Trainer II is responsible for the delivery of domestic (within United States) technical training activities that contribute to the implementation both internal and external projects. This position assists with the development of training courses and programs. Trainer II interfaces with lead project personnel and corporate support/supply personnel to plan training deliveries and suggest strategies to meet specific project objectives. This position is responsible for learning new systems, applications and products and how they integrate with specific job functions and business processes. The Product Trainer II should be able to customize training programs and to prepare to deliver business analyst consulting services where required. The position will also involve assisting the users with the technology (i.e., provide short term End User support) for a limited time after training delivery concludes.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare for and conduct training courses via methods such as instructor led training (ILT), Train-the-Trainer, on the job training (OJT) and virtual instructor led training online (VILT).
- Participates in the development and validation of new training programs.
- Support users of all levels by learning user-specific requirements to enhance training programs.
- Track all training and testing data, provide status reports and training wrap-up reports as well as post-training quality surveys to management.
- Attend training classes as required to enhance expertise relevant to job activities and to achieve product based certification based on department standards and business needs.
- Assists with the implementation and maintenance of training environments or setup of training equipment, dependent upon the domain-specific training.
- Assists the Senior Trainers with the Training Needs Analysis/Business Analysis and costing processes.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to the Trainer I position.
- Project manage the development of electronic training support materials.
- Thoroughly learn new software and hardware for Gaming or Lottery systems and products and impart knowledge to a variety of adult learners.
- Participates in special projects that have a clear link or benefit to training, as assigned.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
This position may require up to 75-85% domestic travel with the possibility of international travel as required.
Trainer may also be required to lift computer/training equipment up to 40lbs
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
- Technical aptitude and professional presentation and customer service skills required.
- On-line/Remote training experience a plus.
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of successful experience training/teaching adult learners in technical areas and systems.
- Superior analytical, communications and organizational skills required.
- Excellent working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite of Applications
- Familiarity with or prior experience with SAP, Madcap Flare, or Business Intelligence software an advantage.
- Team Player and possess the ability to work independently, multi-task and operate within high performing teams.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, French or German a plus) would be an advantage but not required.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $54,500 - $105,00. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
