This is a hybrid role.  Candidate must live in or near Rhode Island.

Responsibilities

 

We are seeking a Network Engineer who will become a member of the Rhode Island-based IGT Corporate Enterprise network team.  This team is an integral part of the IGT global communications group responsible for maintaining LAN and WAN services for over 100 locations worldwide.  Primary duties will include providing technical supervision for these locations in support of providing online, cloud-hosted, video, and interactive lottery services.  This position comes with work schedule flexibility, representing roughly 50% in-office and 50% remote work.


Responsibilities


•    Engage in the planning, installation, and ongoing support for an international Wide-Area Network incorporating jurisdictional offices and regional technology hubs to support necessary corporate communications, customer connectivity, lottery project support, and 3rd party services 
•    Evaluating new and emerging network technologies in support of WAN/LAN enhancements and cost saving initiatives
•    Take the lead on important and time sensitive corporate network deliverables to include hardware specification, vendor solicitation, staging, configuration, installation, and support
•    Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving critical network related issues
•    Direct and implement enforcement of network security policies conforming to industry best-practices
•    Assist other network engineers as needed on a consulting basis to further team deliverables

 

Qualifications

 

•    Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in network engineering, with hands-on experience in Cisco switching and routing, and firewall administration and policy creation. 
•    Experience with BGP/OSPF/EIGRP routing protocols, and Cisco Switching.
•    Familiarity with the OSI model and proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement comprehensive network solutions.
•    Experience with Fortinet firewalls, FortiManager, Meraki wireless networks, MS Azure cloud networking and SDWAN technology is a plus.
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with other engineers, customers and vendors.


Certifications


•    Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher. 
•    Fortinet Certified Associate (FCA) or equivalent certification, or previous hands-on experience with staging and configuration of firewalls.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $55,631 - $98,467. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
