Overview

The Director of Indirect Procurement at IGT will have the opportunity to craft and coordinate our global procurement strategies and operations for indirect goods and services. This role is pivotal in aligning with the Global Supply Chain strategy and achieving annual financial goals. The Director will lead all aspects of supplier relationships, contract negotiations, procurement systems (notably Ariba), and balanced sourcing practices. This position is crucial in optimizing procurement processes, ensuring compliance, and driving cost efficiencies across our organization.

 

Location- Providence, RI. Must live within commutable distance. 

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute global sourcing strategies that optimize value, mitigate risk, and support long-term business objectives.
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate and manage high-performing supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and innovation.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations to secure favorable commercial terms, service levels, and risk mitigation provisions.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage procurement budgets and deliver measurable cost savings through strategic sourcing and process optimization.
  • Market Intelligence: Leverage market insights and ESG trends to inform sourcing decisions and support corporate sustainability goals.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks; monitor key procurement KPIs and compliance metrics.
  • Performance Optimization: Oversee supplier performance evaluations, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Technology Enablement: Lead the implementation and enhancement of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) platform, with a strong emphasis on Ariba.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Legal, IT, HR, and other stakeholders to align procurement strategies with enterprise priorities.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls (e.g., SOX compliance).
  • Innovation & Transformation: Champion digital procurement tools, data analytics, and emerging technologies to drive procurement excellence.
  • Global Influence: Operate effectively within a highly matrixed, multicultural environment, demonstrating strong leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Education

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or Finance
  • Preferred Education: Master’s degree (MBA or Engineering)

Experience

  • Minimum Experience: 10 years in procurement
  • Preferred Experience: 15 years across various procurement roles

Skills

  • Deep understanding of procurement’s integration with operations, finance, and logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of industry trends, supplier markets, and regulatory environments.
  • Subject matter expert in supplier and contract management, SOX compliance, and Ariba P2P systems.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to build consensus and collaborate across departments and with external partners.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $117,880 - $240,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable. 

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
