Overview

Payment service operations is a critical enabler of IGT’s vast payment products and services offering.  As Director of Payment operations, you will lead and grow an expanding team.  This is a key, highly visible position that demonstrates integrity, accountability, and collaboration. The Director of Payment Service Operations is responsible for payment cash management, business intelligence and payment fraud risk functions. This role will be responsible for the execution of strategic initiatives, communication/interaction with customers and executive levels of the company, and be the visionary and executioner of the company’s cashless payments operational strategy.  Reports directly to the Sr. Director, Payments 
 

Responsibilities

Successful candidate will oversee the following functions:
* Scale, manage and optimize a payments and player risk operations and servicing model consistent with our product strategy and the expectations of our customers ensuring best in class procedures, services and operations by analyzing business objectives and customer needs
* Ensuring service operation requirements, cashless payment team and third party roles are clearly defined, tested, documented, and implemented
* Implement, analyze and optimize payments and risk service levels, quality, cost and key performance KPI’s by continuing to measure program results; identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to optimize customer experience and authorization rates, prevent and reduce losses related to player verification and payments
* Developing reporting and reconciliation solutions across payments systems and platforms
* Continuously evaluating internal process controls to identify payment operations weaknesses and any associated risks, as well as making recommendations on how to mitigate those risks
* Review industry and local regulations to analyze impact and adapt or create operational processes to ensure compliance
* Support any RFP’s or customer contractual negotiations in terms of service, support and costing/pricing as it relates to payments and risk
* Interact with product, technology, project managers and third parties in the requirements and implementation of technical improvements to benefit the program
* Support customer implementations and ongoing operations working closely with the KYC and payment vendors and front line teams to quickly resolve issues
* Provide ongoing customer servicing by providing payment operational support to customers assuming responsibility for operational payment issue resolution 
* Recruit and maintain a highly skilled and engaged team by developing talent, coaching, training performance monitoring and performance evaluations
 

Qualifications

* Bachelor s degree in Finance or related field and 4 years’ experience in Finance or related field OR 8 years’ experience in finance or related field
* 5+ years of experience managing resources in the payments and/or risk areas
* Demonstrated leadership skills, including decision-making, conflict resolution, ability to lead and continuously develop highly engaged teams is required
* Comfort and acumen in dealing with fast-paced, highly ambiguous and rapidly evolving environment typical of early stage business formation
* Strong working knowledge of the financial industry, card processing, card networks, and operations, including an understanding of how the money moves between platforms and related interchange and other card fee structures
* Strong working knowledge of payment back-office functions, including Wire and ACH processing
* Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance controls and interpret regulatory requirements
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present across all levels of the organization
* Analytical, Critical thinking and problem solving skills
* Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills
* The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and have experience implementing process change and improvements
* Demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships with business stakeholders at all levels, including executive managers and vendors and excel in large, complex, matrixed organization
