Responsibilities

Overall objective & purpose

Under the direction of the Retail Manager the Field Marketing Representative’s responsibility is to develop sales building plans to increase sales, to establish and maintain effective working relationships and key accounts in a designated territory, improving compliance. This position will be under direct supervision Supervisor, who will provide advice on their territory and supplies to the quality of customer service and the achievement of sales targets.

Principal duties & responsibilities

  • Continual analysis of the performance of your retailers to resolve growth opportunities.
  • Support the development of the Trade Marketing strategy in your area to achieve the required sales targets for your agent base.
  • Develop and complete innovative sales initiatives in their zone to increase IMG, Online, Social Spaces and Commercial Service sales.
  • Develop monthly sales target by agent and decile for your agents and supervise their progress week.
  • Provide agent specific action plans on a weekly basis to your Supervisor showing growth objective by category.
  • Collaborate with Procall to ensure your retailers have the right stock level for each IMG price point including base games and New games.
  • Implement retailer merchandising and visibility standards in your zone.
  • Provide infield sales training to operators/ agents on how to upsell IMG, SSG and CS products.
  • Deliver and display all relevant promotional materials at the retail location are in good condition
  • Delivery all NLCB bulletins to the agents and ensure they sign for receiving on the agreed sign off form.
  • Ensure all agents have the required amount of consumables needed to run their business until your next visit based of your visit cycle.
  • Completes special projects advised by the Company/Lottery.
  • Assists lottery personnel with retailer troubleshooting/chronic retailer issues

Qualifications

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Minimum education - 5 O’ levels including Mathematics and English Language
  • Crucial special training requirements in a sales environment

Experience

  • Years’ Experience - 3 - 4 years
  • Must have a Heavy “T” driver’s license, to be able to carry out the function of a sales representative

Crucial requirements

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Power Point
  • Understanding trade covered and route management
  • Influence and communicate effectively with lottery retailers
  • Must always align with lottery and company’s policies and procedures
  • Influence speak clearly and persuasively with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Effective time management and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written/verbal skills with attention to accuracy.
  • Work independently, take initiative, assume responsibility, and make decisions in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion.
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize as needed.
  • Produce written materials that are clear, concise, and easily understood
  • Lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Acceptance of a need on occasion to work a six-day work week.
