OVERALL OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE
The Field Marketing Representative, directed by the Retail Manager, increases sales by developing sales building plans. They establish effective relationships with lottery retailers and key accounts in a designated territory.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continual analysis of the performance of your retailers to settle growth opportunities.
- Support the development of the Trade Marketing strategy in your area to achieve the required sales targets for your agent base.
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies in their zone to boost IMG, Online, Social Spaces, and Commercial Service sales.
- Develop monthly sales targets by agent by Decile for your agents and supervise their progress weekly.
- Provide agent-specific action plans on a weekly basis to your Supervisor, showing growth objectives by category.
- Collaborate with Procall to ensure your retailers have the right stock level for each IMG price point, including base games and new games.
- Implement validated strategies for retailers, merchandising, and maintaining visibility in your designated area.
- Provide infield sales training to operators/agents on how to upsell IMG, SSG, and CS products.
- Ensure all relevant promotional materials at the retail location are in good condition.
- Deliver all NLCB bulletins to the agents and ensure they sign for receiving on the agreed sign-off form.
- Ensure all agents have the required amount of consumables needed to run their business until your next visit based on your visit cycle.
- Complete special projects directed by the Company/Lottery.
- Assist lottery personnel with retailer troubleshooting/chronic retailer issues.
REQUIREMENTS
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
- Minimum education - 5 O’ levels including Mathematics and English Language.
- Crucial special training requirements in a sales environment.
Experience
- 3 - 4 years of significant experience.
- Must have a Heavy “T” driver’s license, to be able to carry out the function of a sales representative.
Crucial requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding trade covered and route management.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills with attention to accuracy.
- Must be able to work independently, take initiative, assume responsibility, and make decisions in an effective and efficient manner.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Must have a Heavy “T” driver’s license, to be able to carry out the function of a sales representative.
- Acceptance of a need on occasion to work a six-day work week.
