Responsibilities

IGT is the world leader in the design, development and manufacture of gaming products and systems.  IGT Asia is a dominant force across this region and we provide a range of gaming products, systems and services to the casino industry.


Currently we are searching for a Systems Engineer to join our Singapore based team. The main objective of this role is to provide Software Engineering support to Casino customers in the Asian Region by completing installations, go live support and maintaining software systems.


Roles & Responsibilities:
•    Providing installations that will include software/hardware builds, virtualization, network setup and maintenance of IGT Systems.
•    Developing in depth and technical expertise in one or more disciplines of the IGT product line.
•    Design and build the systems infrastructure environments for each implementation
•    Participating in assigned projects to plan, test and install server equipment, network systems and software related to new installations, support, maintenance and upgrades of IGT platforms.
•    Ensuring timely systems installations and customer satisfaction during the installation, go live, and service support during the life span of the system.
•    Handling multiple tasks in a dynamic real time support environment while working with other members of the engineering group.
•    Performing analysis in detailed issues and problems
•    Maintaining a comprehensive view of a project and how it interacts with the business and the customer needs.
•    Operating within the context of well-defined procedures and standards for the Installation Services department.
•    Providing technical support that will include hardware builds, installations, and maintenance of IGT Systems.

 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a BSCS or an equivalent degree and MCITP, MCSE, MCDBA or CCNA is preferred, three years or more experience in engineering, software programming in a design and development capacity, quality assurance, database administration, Information Technology, and/or an engineering support capacity and in-depth knowledge and experience in server and computer systems including but not limited to OS installation, software support, database administration or system installation.

Knowledges & Experience:
Good working knowledge and experience in more than one of the following technologies:
•    Windows Server 2014/2016/2019 Setup/Administration
•    Linux Redhat/CentOS Setup/Administration & RabbitMQ
•    VMWare ESX vSphere/Hypervisor Deploy/Administration
•    SQL Server 2014/2016/2019 and SSRS
•    Network Infrastructure Design/Administration
•    Server Clustering/Administration
•    SAN Management
•    Diagnostic Tools such as SQL Profiler, Wire Shark and Perfmon
•    Administration or hardware/software setup and installation

 

Personal Competencies

•    Excellent communication skills for problem resolution
•    The ability to travel as and when required
•    Highly self-motivated & willingness to learn and grow
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
•    Proficient in reading, writing and speaking of the English, additional language is preferred.
