CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN OR NEAR SCHENECTADY, NY.

Responsibilities

 

Generates test documentation and executes tests to verify that the system performs as required. Works independently and is the primary contact with development services. Organizes, designs plans, directs, and assists in all the activities required for the test effort.\

 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


•    Supports multiple platforms in a Q/A environment. 
•    Areas include point of sale equipment, website support, central system, Mobil, sales tools and digital content verification. 
•    Develops detailed test documentation for all supported platforms and performs required tests outlined by Software engineers. 
•    Works closely with our customer to assist in testing and verification of test data. 
•    Works closely and communicates with all departments to coordinate and support test efforts. 
•    Ability to work with software engineers to communicate issues and escalate any system environment issues. 
•    Ability to support multiple data base with ability to pull and analyze data. 
•    Participates in projecting meetings and meetings with the client. 
•    Applies principles and techniques to evaluate systems during development. 
•    Record, report, and track defects to accurately depict the status of the system. 
•    Recommends continuous improvements within the Central Control System. 
•    Ensures data integrity by evaluating and recommending appropriate software and hardware solutions. 
•    Consults with management and staff regarding development, testing and installation problems or malfunctions and recommends solutions. 

Qualifications

 

•    A college level degree, or equivalent, in a systems or software technical field, preferably computer sciences with solid mathematical foundations, human computer interaction, understanding of algorithms and data structures, and relational database data management knowledge. 
•    2 -3 years' experience in testing environment Systems and software engineering knowledge and test professional certification are desired. 
•    Proven abilities working on a wide variety of tasks simultaneously. 
•    Skilled at setting technical vision and leading others. 
•    Expert at understanding customer requirements and proficient with clarifying the test requirements. 
•    Excellent in verbal and written communication skills.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $51,730 - $76,300. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
