Overview:

 

IGT has an exciting opportunity for a data privacy and protection compliance analyst. The Data Privacy Analyst will support business privacy objectives and policies of the company and maintain and supervise the firm's compliance with applicable privacy standards and obligations. The Data Privacy Analyst will assist in the design, implementation, and assessments of Privacy Office operational activities against Privacy frameworks, regulations and requirements as defined by policies. They will also be responsible for risk mitigation processes through data mapping, and recording processing activities, and assessing new projects, assets, systems and products for risk.
They will participate in Privacy Office process development and improvement activities; take feedback from businesses to improve Privacy practices (including Transcend and Privacy assessments, documentation, etc.) and minimize barriers to business engagement and disruption to business processes.
 

This position reports to the Director of Data Privacy.

This role will work closely with business units and functional areas across [SpinCo’s] global enterprise and will be an integral part of improving and developing IGT’s global data privacy and protection program, working with senior leadership to drive the program forward. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

•    Partner with business units across the global organization to understand their use of personal data, processing activities, and to assist in the planning and strategy regarding proposed uses of data. 
•    Provide data privacy compliance consultation to [SpinCo] global business units and functional areas.
•    Participate in the review and provides advice on third-party data sharing agreements and other third-party activities to address privacy-related matters and/or concerns.
•    Maintains current knowledge of applicable global, federal and state privacy regulations and best practices.
•    Work with the Director, Privacy Operations to mature structure and processes, to operationalize an ongoing goal of compliance with our Privacy Framework and risk management program. 
•    Drive key privacy processes, including impact assessments, risk management coordination, compliance reporting and measurement, compliance audit support, third-party risk management, and regular stakeholder reporting.
•    Work closely with Legal and Procurement to further develop, maintain, and operationalize vendor assessment, onboarding, risk and performance monitoring, policy compliance, and offboarding processes.
•    Assist in the drafting, evaluation, updating, and administration of policies, procedures, user guides, and manuals to ensure they reflect current regulatory requirements, including Transcend user guides.
•    Play a key role in the ongoing design, implementation, and management of the Transcend privacy system and assist in migrating data from legacy system(s). 
•    Managing any Data Subject Request process that the organization may receive.
•    Participate in determining topics and assist in crafting content for corporate Privacy training and awareness programs.
•    Able to connect with business leaders and all levels of staff to express the needs of the privacy office and advise on the risk tolerance and mission of the company. 
•    Assess and track the company's compliance with existing and future global regulations in privacy. 
•    Monitor, report on, and ensure compliance with applicable privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, PIPL, etc.) and within IGT's data protection policies and procedures. 
•    Lead and/or assist in all privacy-related projects and initiatives.
•    Partner with other analysts to identify data sharing and shared processing activities opportunities and improve Privacy operations processes.
•    Participate in privacy, risk and compliance forums and organizations to learn new insights to resolve problems. 
•    Along with the other members of the Privacy & Security Compliance team and Privacy Counsel prepare for and participate in audits.

Qualifications

 

•    Experience in privacy and data protection laws with CIPP or CIPM certification(s) preferred.
•    A minimum of 3-5 years experience in data privacy and protection
•    Broad understanding of global data privacy and protection laws and regulations.
•    Confirmed practical, real-world, collaborative approach to problem-solving with the ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment.
•    Ability to understand the complex landscape of privacy laws and regulations and translate them into practical, business-oriented advice.
•    Excellent communication skills including customer service, problem resolution, and effectively communicating with all levels of employees within the scope of responsibility.
•    Outstanding organizational skills to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and optimally prioritize deadlines.
•    Ability to work in sophisticated situations, with time constraints, and minimal oversight. Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. 
 

Education:

 

•    Business, Computer Science, JD or related degree, or equivalent related work experience
•    Certifications including IAPP CIPM, CIPP, etc. preferred.
