IGT is seeking a dedicated and experienced Traffic/Transport Supervisor to lead our outbound logistics operations. The successful candidate will oversee the transportation team, managing daily operations with a focus on cost, efficiency, and compliance with industry regulations. The Traffic/Transport Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries and shipments are executed promptly and accurately. Moreover, the role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, as unforeseen challenges may arise in the transportation process. The supervisor will also collaborate closely with other departments to facilitate seamless operations. With a commitment to quality and performance excellence, the Traffic/Transport Supervisor will play a crucial role in maintaining our competitive edge in the market. This position requires a thorough understanding of transportation logistics, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with both team members and external partners to drive operational success.

 

  • Supervise daily transportation operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
  • Manage and coordinate schedules for loading and unloading goods at various locations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies during transport activities.
  • Ability to track and manage high value revenue projects. 
  • Mentor and educate direct reports on International import / export documentation and the US & foreign customs requirements.  
  • Facilitate shipments with carriers & freight forwarders. 
  • Ability to track and manage high value / revenue projects. 
  • Train and mentor staff in transportation best practices and industry compliance regulations.
  • Developing and coordinating the IGT Transportation team, to ensure processes and procedures are adhering to company policies and industry regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation or logistics, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of transportation laws and regulations, including OSHA and DOT compliance.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various transportation duties.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate transportation data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with team members, external vendors, and clients.
  • Strong understanding of Truckload, Less-than-truckload, Air and Ocean transportation modes.

Regarded Qualifications

  • SAP experience or knowledge
  • Small Parcel shipping experience
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,482/yr - $115,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
