Seeking a highly skilled and motivated Traffic/Transport Manager to join our Logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our transportation operations, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods while adhering to our industry’s regulatory requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transportation projects simultaneously. The successful candidate will lead a team of traffic / transport specialist, facilitating solid processes and clear communication and collaboration to enhance operational efficiency. You will be directly involved in the planning, coordination, and execution of transportation activities while developing and implementing effective traffic management strategies. Additionally, you will analyze transportation performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance our service delivery. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances will be essential for success in this role, as well as strong interpersonal and leadership skills to foster a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily transportation operations and manage the traffic / transportation team.
- Develop and implement efficient transportation strategies to meet customer delivery requirements.
- Manage 3PL Managed Transportation partner and other carriers to plan & execute TL, LTL, small parcel, air and container international shipments.
- Establish processes with Compliance and Order Management to ensure shipment dates and regulatory compliance are adhered to, to meet customer commitments.
- Develop team and processes to ensure accuracy of all required paperwork (e.g., jurisdictional compliance permits, bill of ladings, commercial invoices (CI), and shippers’ letter of instructions (SLI).
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular training, development and performance reviews for traffic / transport staff.
- Manage relationships with external carriers and service providers, including US and foreign import & export custom brokers.
- Lead initiatives for cost reduction and service improvement within the traffic / transport group.
- Collaborate with internal and external departments to optimize transportation services globally.
- Coordinate, manage and track high value & revenue projects.
- Documentation & record keeping for transaction and compliance requirements in support of audits and reviews.
- Focus on business performance that constantly strives to eliminate waste, improve customer satisfaction, and deliver business results via the use of Lean Six Sigma philosophy and continuous improvement methodologies.
Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation Management, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in traffic or transportation management, preferably in the gambling or casino industry.
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance issues.
- Proficient in logistics software, data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in facilitating, developing, organizing strategic or tactical project information, and presenting to a range of audiences.
Regarded Qualifications
- SAP experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Master Green or Black Belt and PMP certification.
- Experience in driving lean improvement projects using Kaizen, A3, VSM, Poke Yoke, Project planning, problem solving tools.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range for this position is $76,179/yr - $180,000/yr. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
