The purpose of this role is to ensure suppliers deliver quality parts and materials according to IGT specifications. Supports resolving semi-complex nonconforming material issues.  Is fully competent in an assigned IGT manufacturing function. 


Conducts or may participate in conducting audits and inspections of supplier material to drive suppliers to identify appropriate quality assurance systems that will ensure receipt of defect free components/materials
Participates in developing engineering solutions to suppliers’ material defects, adhering to established product design specifications and functionality
Executes semi-routine material inspection assignments that involve general analysis
Solves or participates in the solution of assigned routine engineering / technical problems using traditional engineering approaches
Decisions and actions may influence the work of other team members and a few processes and a few customer outcomes


Specific Accountabilities
Participates in driving suppliers to identify appropriate quality assurance systems that will ensure receipt of defect free components/materials
In concert with engineering, manufacturing and quality, participates in developing and defining inspection criteria for workmanship and cosmetic defects and communicates that criteria and expectations to suppliers
Participates in developing and prioritizing an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure good manufacturing practices and quality standards are met
Participates in evaluating suppliers’ internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation
Participates in developing quality metrics to evaluate and improve supplier performance
Participates in qualifying suppliers according to IGT standards
Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle and participates in communicating and resolving supplier-related problems as they occur
Supports new product development process as necessary; supports/coordinates design review process between manufacturing and suppliers
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies, materials, equipment and processes; develop and maintain an understanding of industry and market trends and competition

Through the completion of assigned projects, supports achieving the strategies of the quality engineering and manufacturing departments
Through participation in the completion of assigned aspects of projects, supports the achievement of assigned projects of the quality engineering and manufacturing departments

Improperly auditing suppliers’ materials and inaccurate identification of problems
Not identifying proper solutions to defective materials/processes

Assignment of Work
Work is subject to close supervisory oversight at frequent intervals and review by senior members of the staff
Semi-detailed instructions are given on new assignments
Supports the determination of methods for own work on semi-routine assignments
Escalates semi-complex, technical issues or requests to gain cooperation at levels of mid-management and senior members of the team
Provides support to less experienced personnel



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Typically has 2 to 5 years of experience in supplier quality or supply chain management and/or engineering supplier improvements
  • Has advanced basic knowledge of many aspects of IGT’s manufacturing processes, material inspection workflows, and products (game types, components/parts)
  • Has advanced basic knowledge of the gaming industry
  • Has advanced basic knowledge of / skills in the content areas of:

  - Quality improvement tools

  - Quality Management Systems (ISO 9000)

  - Manufacturing processes

     - Electrical and mechanical part functions

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $53,800 -  $129,500. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.


Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
