Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Food Service Supervisor. This position requires a candidate who is hands-on, with strong cooking skills, as well as excellent management and leadership abilities. Reporting to the National Food Services Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the cafeteria food services, ensuring high-quality meals are prepared and served efficiently to our customers. 

Responsibilities

 

  • Supervise and manage a team of cafeteria staff, including cooks, servers, and other personnel.
  • Collaborates with manager and the food services team to plan and coordinate daily food preparation and services to ensure timely and efficient operations.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control, and presentation to maintain high standards of service.
  • Create and implement menus that are nutritious, diverse, and appealing to a wide range of customers, while considering dietary restrictions and special requirements.
  • Leads and actively participates in food preparation, cooking, and serving, ensuring high quality and timely services to customers.
  • Trains, develops, and supports cafeteria staff in food handling, preparation techniques and proper sanitation practices.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following health and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels and place orders for food and supplies as needed, ensuring cost effective practices.
  • Maintains relationships with vendor partners.
  • Manage customer inquiries and feedback, addressing concerns promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for cafeteria staff, providing feedback and implementing necessary training or corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments, to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Qualifications

 

  • Proven experience in a similar role with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on culinary and food services management
  • Strong cooking skills and proficiency in preparing a variety of dishes.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Knowledge of food costs analysis and inventory management techniques.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work after hours for events when required.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $50,000 - $101,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
