Overview

 

The IGT Legal Department is seeking a highly skilled and motivated attorney who will support IGT’s global supply-chain and procurement function in connection with its Lottery business and Corporate operations. The position involves providing general commercial legal support and addressing a spectrum of sophisticated legal, business and strategic issues, with a focus on review, negotiation, and drafting a range of B2B commercial contracts, including vendor agreements for the procurement of products and services, outsourcing agreements, hosting and infrastructure agreements, manufacturing agreements, SaaS agreements, and software and IP licensing agreements. 

 

As part of the wider IGT Legal Department, you will also have the opportunity to work on other external and internal facing projects and legal matters. You will work in a dynamic, collaborative, and high-performance environment, helping IGT lead a wide range of legal and business challenges. 

 

This position will report directly to the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel, located in the UK. There may be the chance to lead a junior attorney or paralegal in the US as part of this role. 
 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work in a dynamic environment in collaboration with supply chain, technology and business partners internally and external vendors to provide pragmatic commercial advice and strategic support.
  • Draft, review, negotiate and interpret a variety of domestic and international B2B contracts with vendors and partners for the procurement and licensing of products and services.
  • Identify and advise internal clients on legal risks, mitigation, pre-litigation disputes and resolving a variety of issues that arise in existing vendor relationships.
  • Assist in the management of external legal counsel where applicable and collaboration with other members of the legal team.
  • Opportunities to work in other legal areas, such as customer facing projects and contracts, depending on interests and experience.
  • Contributing to global legal team projects and strategic objectives.

Qualifications

 

  • Juris Doctorate with admission to at least one State bar.
  • 7-12 years as a practicing attorney, including contract law experience working at a premier law firm and/or in-house legal department (as a guide only; we will consider all candidates that demonstrate they meet our key requirements regardless of experience)
  • Legal areas of expertise: Contract/Commercial law, Technology and Intellectual Property
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including vendor contracts and software and IP related contracts is required.
  • Experience in dealing with international and/or cross border contracts would be desirable but not essential.
  • Experience in developing and driving processes relating to legal automation, self-service and workflow efficiency desired but not crucial.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $90,746 - $200,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
