Overview

We seek a highly motivated Product Owner to manage our Lottery second chance offering. As a Product Owner in the Lottery Product Management Connected Play (retail digitalization) team, you will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the assigned product. Your contribution to the product vision and strategy is an essential component in managing the roadmap and customer engagements, allowing you to shape new features and help customers make the most of existing releases.

 

Reporting to the Head of Connected Play (retail digitalization), you will work with our clients and engineering teams to own, shape, and drive the products we create. Are granted the autonomy to own and drive the release scoping and customer engagements. Lead all aspects of the development of the product from start to finish, working to establish business requirements, identify new functionality and enhancements, manage the grooming of the feature backlog, establish release scope, as well as developing and prioritizing capabilities, features, and stories to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.

 

Through collaborative relationships across the enterprise and engaging with our customers (internal teams and our lottery partners), you will help IGT and Lotteries use your product to achieve their business goals and deliver the desired business outcomes. Working directly on customer implementation projects for your product provides incite to bring to the R&D backlog potential new features and functions identified for your products.

 

Location:

This position is based in IGT’s offices in Rhode Island (West Greenwich or Providence).

Responsibilities

  • With a focus on both Product Development and Product, the Product Owner has a key role in bringing an outside-in perspective to our product roadmaps and vision. As a product owner, you will:
  • Understand and help contribute to the product manager’s vision for the team’s products
  • Lead customer engagements to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements, arrange and conduct product demonstrations and workshops
  • Take ownership of your product, in an agile team: elaborate capabilities and features into atomic user stories, prioritize them based on lottery customer feedback, market trends, and business value; lead all aspects of the delivery of the team backlog and acceptance testing of your products to the shelf
  • Coordinate all stages of product creation (including design and development) by liaising closely with product engineering leaders who will manage the day-to-day engineering efforts
  • Create customer-specific artifacts (e.g. Capability and Feature descriptions that drive a customer-facing Product Description, elaborating business process flows and customer configuration documents)
  • Cooperate with other team members, such as Lottery Solutions, Marketing, Legal and Security
  • Provide mentorship, and ongoing support for customers to drive product usage

Qualifications

  • 4yr+ experience in business analysis, product owner, or equivalent
  • 2yr+ experience working with second chance, sweepstakes, contests, raffle entry products
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, or engineering.
  • Experience with mobile apps and web-based products.
  • A sound understanding of the technical aspects of a transaction processing product (such as a lottery transaction engine, a core banking system, or a FinTech) and its complexities is a strong plus
  • Ability to influence without authority, working with technical and cross-functional teams who do not report to this role to get things done.
  • Strong communication skills including ability to present insights and recommendations persuasively, skill and confidence in dealing with people at all levels of organization.
  • A solid understanding of product management practices and tools in modern product management and product design
  • The ability to solve sophisticated challenges and convert them into structured solutions, which are actionable for both internal and external collaborators
  • Proven track record in prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience with product and requirements management tools, such as Jira and Confluence
  • Ability to travel (up to 20% of the time)
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones internationally if required

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $74,961 - $164,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

 

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program.  Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .  In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
