Overview

Data Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics under the Cloud Innovations team is currently seeking an intern to work in Rhode Island.

Cloud Innovations is responsible for the Cloud Center of Excellence, the Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics, and the creation of a corporate data lake. The innovations team has built out a cloud center of Excellence and is looking to build out a Data & Analytics CoE as well as continue the migration of data from teams across the company into a corporate data lake initiated in August of 2022.

Responsibilities

The intern will be working with the team on various work streams. It will be an excellent opportunity to learn about cloud, data lakes, data ingestion & transformation, data governance and data analytics. Responsibilities include working with various business units and cloud accounts, managing, and optimizing data retrieval, administration, and automation. We are looking for interns with several different skillsets able to meet those needs.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled, either full-time or part-time in any one of the following: (1) an accredited higher education institution; (2) a technical school recognized and approved by the Company OR (3) an approved workforce program/partner, studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar
•   Broad understanding of software, hardware and how things work end-to-end
•   Interest in learning
•   Drive and enthusiasm for data science, cloud technologies, AI analysis & modeling tools, and/or machine learning. Willing to try new things and help build a data management framework
•   Strong math skills, analytics, statistics, and ability to deal with anomalies are essential
•   Experience with Python, SQL, snowflake, AWS Sagemaker, Jupyter notebooks, and documentation
•   Experience with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS

Nice to have:
•   Interest in data analytics
•   Experience with analytical tools that present analysis in an understandable way
•   Knowledge about UML diagrams or similar
•   Basic knowledge about cloud and/or data lakes
•   An understanding of business - specifically knowledge of gaming industry is considered an asset
•   Experience with MS products preferred.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation rate for the Graphic Design Intern role is $23.50. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower.
