Overview

Data Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics under the Cloud Innovations team is currently seeking an intern to work in Rhode Island.

Cloud Innovations is responsible for the Cloud Center of Excellence, the Center of Excellence for Data & Analytics, and the creation of a corporate data lake. The innovations team has built out a cloud center of Excellence and is looking to build out a Data & Analytics CoE as well as continue the migration of data from teams across the company into a corporate data lake initiated in August of 2022.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include working with various cloud accounts, managing, and optimizing data retrieval, administration, and automation.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled, either full-time or part-time in any one of the following: (1) an accredited higher education institution; (2) a technical school recognized and approved by the Company OR (3) an approved workforce program/partner, studying Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
•   Broad understanding of software, hardware and how things work end-to-end
•   Interest in learning
•   Drive and enthusiasm for cloud technologies and data engineering. Desire to try new things and help build data management frameworks.
•   Experience or interest in building a pipeline for data ingestion into a corporate data lake
•   Ability to prepare both structured and unstructured data from analytics, together with skills needed to combine, consolidate, cleanse, and organize data
•   Experience with Python, SQL, snowflake, AWS Sagemaker, Jupyter notebooks, data ingestion, data management, data modeling, documentation, data governance and/or data analytics
•   Experience with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS

Nice to have:
•   Interest in data analytics and data governance
•   Knowledge about UML diagrams or similar
•   Basic knowledge about cloud and/or data lakes
•   An understanding of business - specifically knowledge of gaming industry is considered an asset
•   Experience with MS products preferred.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation rate for the Graphic Design Intern role is $23.50. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower.
