Overall Objective and Purpose

The Marketing Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and management of products throughout their entire life cycle. The incumbent will analyze consumer needs, determine their level of satisfaction with and perception of the products, gather and analyze data on competitors and the image of the lottery.

The Marketing Supervisor is also responsible for oversight of the Jr. Brand Specialist and Training Department and will work closely with the Marketing Manager on laising with the customer and general deliverables for the department as required.

Principal Activities and Responsibilities

  • Develops strategies in line with company objectives for assigned products
  • Develops marketing and communication plans and budgets for assigned products
  • Monitors, reviews and reports on sales performance, expenses, and related activity results
  • Works with the advertising agencies and other suppliers to ensure that the organization maximizes value for its advertising and promotion spend
  • Supports the development, implementation and execution (where necessary) of research projects
  • Works with the retail team to ensure that point of sale strategies are executed
  • Works with retail team and agents to increase sales
  • Preparation and publication of necessary media and agent communications. This includes customer presentations and public relations initiatives
  • Develops promotional strategies to support the business and achieve sales targets
  • Designs and maintains a database of product/brand information to report on observed trends, cycles and sales drivers
  • Supports and communicates all major brand activities and updates with all stakeholders including the NLCB
  • Engages and inspires the organization around the brands’ vision, position and strategies so they are clear in bringing them to life in their areas of functional expertise
  • Works with relevant departments and personnel to develop presentations
  • Prepares and presents, as required, reports to site, customer and corporate stakeholders
  • Oversees the functioning of the Training unit to ensure that all training is being executed optimally and is supporting the terminal expansion initiative
  • Works with the Training unit to develop and implement training plans for IGT and NLCB staff and other projects as required
  • Coaches and works with all reporting team members on development and goal setting. This includes conducting performance reviews twice annually
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

  • Management of assigned budgets
  • Successful execution of brand plans on time and within budget
  • Achievement of sales & revenue targets
  • Timely execution and implementation of promotions, enhancements, and new game initiatives as per the company’s strategic plan

Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a similar position
  • Post Graduate qualifications in a relevant field would be an asset
  • Experience in Digital Marketing would be an asset
  • Required to have an advanced understanding of brand performance issues
  • A proven track record of aggressive, innovative, and growth-oriented advertising and promotional activities in brand management or advertising account management

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word)
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe programs (Photoshop and Illustrator) would be an asset
  • Standard requirements for market research and analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and communicate effectively
  • Strong writing skills - must be able to produce written materials that are clear and
  • concise with attention to accuracy
  • Strong time-management, self-management and organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently, take initiative, assume responsibility and make decisions in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to take direction and prioritize as needed
