OVERALL OBJECTIVE AND PURPOSE

To assist the Supervisors and Brand Managers with the implementation of strategies which would lead to achievement of the business objectives of the brands.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with the Brand Managers and advertising agencies to develop and implement strategies and campaigns to meet the brand’s objectives  

• Work closely with advertising agencies and suppliers to ensure maximum value for advertising investments 

• Work with the Trade Marketing Specialist and  Retail to ensure that point of sale strategies are executed as designed

• Support with the execution of trade audits to gather market intelligence and use same to inform strategies to improve brand positioning

• Support Brand Managers with the development of project plans for execution of brand initiatives based on the marketing strategy and execute deliverables in accordance with agreed timelines

• Work closely with the Brand Managers and Trade Specialist to develop annual Advertising and Promotion budgets

• Drive the process to ensure timely submission of quotations and invoices from agencies and suppliers

• Prepare and submit Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders and other documentation related to the processing of invoices 

• Track the submission of agency and supplier invoices to ensure they are received timely 

• Prepare and code invoices using the stipulated system for approval 

• Prepare monthly reports to support the Accounts and Finance departments in the tracking of commitments and payments 

• Develop and broadcast media and agent communication materials for the NLCB brands

• Develop social media content for the NLCB brands and post to platforms where necessary 

• Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND

  • Minimum qualifications:

    o Degree in Marketing or related discipline with focus on sales, marketing, public relations, or business administration

    • Post Graduate qualifications in a relevant field would be an asset

EXPERIENCE

  •  A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

 

Basic Knowledge & Skills

• Demonstrable experience in the marketing and/or advertising industry

• Preparation and tracking of budgets 

• Digital and Social Media management 

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and Power Point 

• Working knowledge of Adobe software e.g. Illustrator and Photoshop as well as social media editing applications

• Experience in market research and analysis 

• Exceptional communication skills

• Good Presentation Skills

• Ability to manage relationships in a business environment 

• Service oriented and customer focused

• Good interpersonal and social skills
