Overall Objective and Purpose

Responsible for accounting functions that includes mainly accounts payables and receivables.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains filing system of all transactions generated through the accounts payable and receivables functions. This includes scanning, filing, and archiving original accounting documents.

• Petty cash custodian

• Maintains manual AR subledger in excel

• Monitoring of statutory payments.

• Conduct monthly stock counts.

• Review and reconcile cash receipts against receipt book, deposit log and bank account, daily.

Any other reasonable duties assigned by Accounting Supervisor related to the accounting operations of the business.

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic accounting (double-entry accounting).

• Training in accounting at junior or tertiary level

• Highly computer literate with strong knowledge of MS Office programs particularly Excel

• Good communication and listening skills

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow up

• Self-motivated with ability to meet strict deadlines.
