IGT is seeking a Field Services Technician in the area of Newburgh and Poughkeepsie, NY. Responding to dispatches and drives to customer locations within a specified "zone" to deliver supplies and to install, remove, or repair lottery equipment and communication devices.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for transporting, installing (if applicable), and maintaining IGT equipment, replacement parts, tools, and other equipment in an organized and structured manner.
  • Attend driver training and follow IGT vehicle policy regarding the use and maintenance of the company vehicle.
  • Maintain equipment to promote continuous operation of IGT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to restore malfunctioning equipment to working order in the field. This may include swapping failed equipment, cleaning and/or minor adjusting of the malfunctioning component.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with Dispatchers. Accurately report activity, arrival and departure times and problems, details, and resolutions of failures to Dispatch.
  • Deliver marketing supplies and consumable parts such as paper, ribbons, bet slips, etc. and track inventory of these items.
  • Deliver basic training to new Retailers or refresher/remedial training to Retailers who may be performing procedures incorrectly, such as changing paper and ribbon.
  • Complete basic forms for reporting activities, equipment problems, recommendations for improvements to procedures, etc.

Qualifications

 

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical or I.T. related training or education is a plus.

 

Experience Required

  • 2+ years of electronics, repair, field, or related industry experience.

 

Skills Required

  • Must be computer literate and have documented technical experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of AC/DC fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of tools and experience using the tools is required.
  • Ability, flexibility, and willingness to work varied shifts, overtime, and travel to client sites as needed. 
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and able to stand a full shift.
  • Ability to follow policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Must be able to adapt to various jurisdictions and interface with compliance officers.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $33,200 - $45,800. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
