The SPIELO brand represents a complete range of end-to-end gaming products for diverse gaming segments, including distributed government-sponsored markets, commercial casino markets, and Amusement With Prize (AWP) markets.


Provide support on projects or ongoing operations to internal and external customers on an in-house developed system sold commercially. The application has been sold to customers world-wide to support Video Lottery Terminals and Slot machines in wide-area networks and casinos. The role provides the operational support and monitoring tools to support the application. 


  • Develop and support shell scripts to perform operational functions or monitoring of the system.
  • Interfaces with local Operations Manager, Project Manager and customer staff, as appropriate. 
  • Makes recommendations regarding improved operating systems and procedures.
  • Provides 24 hour front-line operations support on a scheduled basis. Responds accordingly during system emergencies to minimize financial penalties.
  • Investigates incidents in the production environment; develops incident reports and other follow-up items to the customer base.
  • Maintain accurate and complete status and information in ticket tracking systems
  • Maintain System Level documentation

  • Post Secondary diploma in an IT related program 
  • Years of experience: 3-5 years IT experience (Operations, Software Development, Systems Support, Database Administration) 
  • Knowledge in key areas such as Linux, DB2 and Microsoft Server platforms
  • Experience with VMWare, PKI and Systems Monitoring tools would be an asset  
  • Soft skills: flexible, autonomous, take initiatives, stress resistant, capable of prioritizing tasks
  • Must be able to work as part of distributed team
