Role Overview

 


An exciting opportunity exists to join an award-winning team developing Casino gaming products for the UK and overseas markets.  Based out of Media City, Manchester, you will be playing a key role in developing exciting PC based video games to add to our expanding gaming portfolio.

The Manchester development studio is looking for a motivated Software Test Engineer to join a collaborative, stimulating, creative, vibrant and friendly working environment.
 

Responsibilities

 

•    Prepare and create test plans, test cases and test scripts
•    Ensure software meets functional, system, jurisdictional and regulatory requirements
•    Verify the game mathematics and mechanics are implemented correctly
•    Identify, report and log software faults, enabling corrective action to be taken
•    Work closely with the Software Development Team and Graphic Team to resolve defects
•    Correctly prioritising and keeping in perspective the priority of software issues and improvements
•    Perform regression testing when software faults are resolved
•    Investigate and analyse production issues
•    Learn, understand, and stay up to date with in-house testing tools and strategies
•    Develop an in-depth knowledge of IGT products and how the products interact

 

Qualifications


•    BSc / A level / NVQ / BTEC or equivalent qualifications in IT/Software Engineering or equivalent commercial experience
•    A good understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle
•    Experience of Jira or a similar bug tracking system
•    Knowledge of different testing methodologies such as Acceptance Testing, System Testing, Integration Testing and Regression Testing 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
•    An understanding of mathematics and strong Excel skills


Advantageous Skills / Experience


•    Previous experience of testing Unity products
•    Previous experience testing gambling software
•    Experience of using source code control
•    Strong verbal and written communication skills, e.g. detailing technical issues in an understandable way
