IGT is searching for an experienced Product/Program Manager (Hardware & Platform) to join our Sydney based team. The primary objectives of this role will be the management of IGT’s Asia Pacific cabinet and platform software product portfolios and manage products through all stages of their product life cycle. In addition to this, program manage the introduction and rollout of new cabinets, peripherals and platforms across multiple business functions, and manage the resolution of field issues escalated to Product Management team in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

As a Product/Program Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Product Management

  • Manage the product life cycle of IGT gaming machines and associated peripherals across APAC region – from requirements definition, through development, product introduction and then finally retirement.
  • Develop, align and communicate cabinet and platform software 3 - 5year roadmaps.
  • Manage the investigation, resolution and field retrofits of hardware or platform software based field issues that are escalated to Product Management team.

 

Program Management

  • Cross functional project management of new product introductions in APAC region.
  • Preparing and managing overall project schedules and budgets for hardware and platform software-based projects.
  • Developing, tracking and reporting on project progress, resource, staff, assets, schedules and project metrics. 
  • Managing and reporting on project risks and issues.
  • Facilitating the flow of information among team members on assigned projects.
  • Participating in removing project barriers and roadblocks, and escalation of risks/issues that could impact the outcome of a project.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Educational

  • Engineering or Business Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Project Management qualification or equivalent experience.
  • PMI certification a plus.

Skills & Attributes

  • Proven ability to manage, maintain and nurture internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to maintain a professional level of performance in high pressure situations.
  • Must be familiar with engineering disciplines such as software, mechanical and electrical as well as project management techniques and methods.
  • Strong business acumen and strategy.
  • Good planning and organisational skills.
  • Must have excellent communication, written and oral skills.

 

Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in managing technical/engineering products and projects. 
  • At least 3 years of experience coordinating cross-functional project teams.
  • Knowledge of the gaming industry and can leverage knowledge to identify opportunities and develop in depth solutions will be highly desirable
