IGT is seeking an experienced PR Specialist. This individual will join the team of external communications professionals for the NYSE-listed global leader in gaming, lottery and sports betting.  
Primary job responsibilities will include supporting IGT’s global business units by working cross-functionally to gain positive media coverage that promotes new games, celebrates jackpots, announces sales agreements and more. The ideal candidate can create and develop story ideas and pitch stories to generate successful media results. The candidate must be able to independently collaborate with casino operators and third-party partners to develop and execute mutually beneficial PR campaigns and programs.  This individual will also support company-wide initiatives and award programs, interface with senior executives and provide extensive communications support and strategy for a range of global gaming trade shows. 

Candidates must have strong media relations fundamentals and sensibilities, a proven track record for gaining on-message media coverage and experience minimizing risk from negative media exposure. The position requires a strategic, self-starter who can contribute ideas, create and deliver compelling stories, build meaningful relationships and demonstrate high-level communications abilities that achieve meaningful results. Outstanding written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are required. Courage and confidence to present ideas in meetings with senior leaders and be on the front line of strategic communications initiatives is a must.


•    Writing a range of media-focused materials including news releases, editorials, product descriptions and more
•    Collaborating with cross-functional groups to develop strategies that maximize exposure for IGT products, people and brand
•    Conceiving, developing and pitching story ideas to local, regional, national and trade media
•    Supporting the sales organization by communicating sales agreements in a variety of ways
•    Partnering with IGT customers on announcements, events, etc.
•    Promoting IGT products through strategic communications
•    Managing filming requests involving IGT intellectual property
•    Owning IGT’s global awards programs
•    Telling the jackpot-paying legacy of the most successful slot theme of all time
•    Contributing original ideas that can improve outcomes and elevate the conversation
•    Writing executive and Company communications



•    Bachelor’s Degree required, with emphasis in Journalism, Communications or related discipline 
•    6+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications
•    Experience leading projects and collaborating at all levels of the organization and across geographies 
•    Experience conceiving and pitching stories and leading media-driven events
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills; extremely strong discipline for grammar and ability to craft language in a compelling fashion
•    Outstanding interpersonal skills and team orientation
•    Prioritize and preserve confidentiality in dealing with sensitive material
•    Must have strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
•    A high degree of integrity and confidentiality
•    Strong presentation skills and confidence to present plans and ideas to senior leaders 

•    Experience in the gaming, technology or entertainment industries
•    Project management skills including determining scope, resource needs, timelines, deliverables, etc.
•    PR agency experience – either working at one, or with one
•    Media trained
