Responsibilities

The Senior Director, Technology is a high energy, innovative, and thoughtful individual responsible for leading a team focused on technology matters of customer-centric products and services. This individual will report directly to VP Technology PlayDigital.

Manage team of highly skilled technologists focused on both Software and Infrastructure Architecture, Application and Infrastructure Cyber Security for customer-centric products and services deployed in Cloud and OnPrem environments.
Provide expertise, advice and support on technical matters across the Technology organization.
Have overall ownership for end-to-end System Architecture ensuring solutions meet quality, security, reliability and efficiency metrics and are aligned with longer term strategic objectives
Using your knowledge of best engineering principles and practices to help to create new and innovative products and services that are achievable within the timeframe required
Initiate and drive proof-of-concepts to validate and demonstrate key new architectures or technology proposals
Be the key stakeholder responsible for the technology consistency and efficiencies between Software Applications and the Infrastructure on which they are deployed. Champion and influence implementations that are as a whole overall optimal for PlayDigital
Build positive and productive working relationships – the core values at IGT – through close collaboration with external and internal stakeholders
Plan priorities together in close collaboration with other technology functions, but also with other key stakeholders
Work closely with Operations, Sales, Marketing and IGT Regional teams to identify the new opportunities, being the key technical stakeholder in the RFP processes
Work closely with Legal and Compliance teams to create compliant technology solutions and be the owner that ensures the technology solutions are meeting compliance requirements and also are well represented in documents and other means for successful submissions
Operate in accordance to Agile methodology when engaging with Development teams
Be aware and up to date in Cybersecurity matters and work with other IGT teams such as InfoSec, and Compliance to ensure best security best practices and solutions
Support the Infrastructure organization for all cloud migrations and other operational responsibilities that require Technology support.
Maintain full knowledge of the current tech stack
Stay up to date with legal and regulatory constraints for jurisdictions where we target our products for
Create (hire), train, manage a high-performance team

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree is required, masters is a plus
10+ years In Software Development and/or Software Architecture
Deep knowledge cloud technologies
English language fluency
Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and collaboration.
Demonstrated success working in a cross-functional, matrixed team environment on multiple projects
A strong sense of urgency, action orientation, drive for results and pragmatism are a must
Demonstrated ability to develop practical solutions to address complex organizational challenges

Strong project management skills, must have ability to initiate project plans and balance multiple changing deadlines and priorities delivering on or ahead of budget and schedule
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Demonstrated ability to initiate and serve as the subject matter expert building credible relationships quickly.
Excellent learning agility – ability to digest information quickly, apply existing knowledge in new makes, make connections across different areas and identify key questions / areas to explore
Experience with or knowledge of a good set of the following technologies is required: PHP (Framework Symfony/Laravel/Lumen), RESTful API Design (OAS 3.0), SOAP, Angular, TCP Network packets and network protocols, Linux, Continuous Build/Integration/Delivery tools (i.e dockers, TeamCity, bamboo, Kubernetes), SQL, python, JavaScript, HTML5, C++, Java, NoSQL, Big Data Platforms, Unit/Integration Testing, Jira and Confluence.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $152,495 - $275,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
