Overview
This position is responsible for the management of all production (press and packaging) shifts. It will lead all aspects of the department’s efficiency, goals, projects, and process improvements. The person in this role will lead the activities relating to the execution of pre-press, production, staffing, cost management, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Support Production Managers to ensure team members perform safely and efficiently
- Assist Production Managers with performance evaluations for employees
- Maintain compliance with all Federal, State, and Local laws/regulations affecting operations and safety, while promoting safety policies and awareness
- Coordinate the effective utilization of materials, equipment, and staff for Pre-Press, Press, and Packaging departments
- Maintain, manage, and develop personnel through effective hiring, training, performance management, and mentoring
- Resolve day-to-day plant operational issues independently using job knowledge and expertise
- Troubleshoot and solve problems, proactively managing challenges
- Ensure equipment integrity and upkeep in cooperation with the Maintenance team
- Maintain control of production process parameters to ensure product excellence
- Develop and maintain a proficient team engaged in manufacturing, planning, and quality control while documenting performance data
- Identify continuous improvements in products, processes, quality, delivery, and costs in partnership with the Maintenance and Innovations teams
- Participate in budget planning for standard operations and special projects, monitoring and working within established budgets
- Control costs of materials, direct/indirect labor, and equipment in accordance with the budget
- Ensure the health and safety of all Production employees and compliance with regulations
- Maintain and update production reports for press and packaging operations
- Partner with People & Transformation on related activities
- Provide training and development to managers, teams, employees, and/or consultants, both internally and externally
- Represent the Company to customers and the community
- Follow all IGT policies related to Code of Conduct, Confidentiality, Information Security, Environmental Compliance, et al.
Qualifications
- Management: Skilled in professional leadership aspects of an operation
- Manufacturing: Knowledge of raw materials, methods, tools, and processes involved in the printing industry
- Understand how to apply technologies in the printing industry, including design and production principles, techniques, and equipment.
- Color Management: Understanding of pre-press workflow, layout, and other pre-production processes
- Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS): Knowledge of environmental regulations, health standards, and safety compliance within a manufacturing environment, including familiarity with OSHA and safety regulations
- Microsoft Office: Proficiency in the use of programs at an intermediate level or higher
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that include frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and/or kneeling
Preferred Education, Experience, or Skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field is a plus
- Knowledge of flexographic press or printing operations preferred
- Previous second-level management experience is a plus

Experience Required
3+ years in a management role in production or operations

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $83,696 - $220,000. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.
Base pay is only one part of our Total Rewards program. Sales roles may be eligible for commission payments, while other roles are eligible for discretionary bonuses .
