Join the WINNING TEAM at IGT Global!  IGT is seeking a Digital Press Technician in Lakeland, FL. IGT Lakeland is a high-speed printing and packaging operation. We supply instant scratch lottery tickets to players around the world. 

As part of the PrePress department, the Digital Press Technician role partners with the PrePress Manager to produce print ready files for Printing from the digital press using POS material for clients and will provide technical assistance required to convert IGT's existing PrePress media to a digital process.

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for file preparation for offset POS material to be printed on internal digital Press along with any finishing requirements for the job.
  • Job requires knowledge of page imposition and digital printing methods and procedures.
  • Must have a broad knowledge of the digital Prepress operations and technology plus an overall knowledge of printing technology and operations. 
  • Need to identify whether all information is present to produce the job based of print specifications established. 
  • Responsible for the effective configuration, operation and maintenance of the digital Press systems and calibration. 
  • Follow all Company policies, procedures and rules related to Information Security, Quality and Environmental.

Must assist in other department functions such as platemaking and/or plate mounting operations as requested per job requirements and production needs.
 

Qualifications

Education Required (example: high school, college degree, training, or certifications requirements)

  • High School diploma or equivalent

 

Experience Required (example: years of experience, specific industry or previous job experience requirements)

  • 3+ years of related mechanical, manufacturing and/or printing experience
  • Skills Required (example: software, technical, industry, equipment, lifting, and physical requirements)
  • Knowledge of Commercial and or Packaging printing industry
  • Must have working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Design, Acrobat) ESKO Automated Engine / Nexus Manager
  • Basic computer and math skills required, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred
  • Must be able to navigate folders/files on the company network and enter data into basic databases
  • Must be able to effectively communicate one-on-one, via written documents/forms, via radio using proper protocol, and via email using Microsoft Outlook and teams.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
