Responsibilities

The Trade Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing the sales and marketing programs directed towards retailers and key accounts which sell IGT products. The Specialist should coordinate marketing programs in the trade in order to generate incremental sales, increase brand presence and improve customer satisfaction, including but not limited to: POS development, incentive programs for retailers and sales force, promotional activities, product launches and promotions, training and development, etc. The Specialist should work very closely with the marketing team to assure that marketing plans are being translated into actionable trade programs and with the sales force to assure that the trade marketing strategies are being effectively executed and are achieving the sales objectives.

 

  • Lead the development, activation, execution and tracking of the Trade Marketing strategy to achieve the business objectives for all products.
  • Responsible for the development, execution and performance of programs developed to improve visibility and sales.
  • Develop standards, procedures, templates, and compliance techniques for managing and administration of the trade budget and execution initiatives.
  • Creating a feeling of winning within retail locations via winner awareness techniques / programmes
  • Contribute to achieving the sales goals and objectives of the Company and improving our market participation, retailer, and consumer satisfaction.
  • Establish trade style and channel strategies and plans associated with the expansion and optimization of the agent network.
  • Support the Marketing Manager in analyzing data, creating models, and presenting key insight for decision-making and to generate ideas.
  • Develop innovative promotional plans for the trade, key accounts, and different trade styles.
  • Participates in the design of promotional and POS material.
  • Work very closely with the Sales department and field representatives to develop and execute in trade activities and promotions.
  • Assure coordination between the sales team and marketing team to assure alignment and with Finance to properly track the trade spend budget.
  • Work very closely with key accounts to develop promotions and communication to increase sales.
  • Responsible for developing trade presentations and reporting on trade activation performance for key stakeholders.
  • Develop and launch the new products in the trade, including training to retailers and sales force.
  • Coordinate and communicate product enhancements, pricing, and value propositions in the trade.
  • Publish trade marketing initiatives and status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership in the execution of the marketing strategy at the retailer level.
  • Participate in development and management of retailer and sales force incentive plans.
  • Interact directly with Brand Managers to identify new business opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities to marketing, consistent with business objectives for products.
  • Support the construction of sales forecasts, business cases, and game content.
  • Follow up on marketing campaigns to evaluate results and generate recommendations for future promotions.
  • Manage relations with suppliers and agencies.
  • Control inventories for promotional prizes, POP material, fixtures, etc.
  • Assure that the sales force is executing the marketing plans according to parameters established by the marketing team.
  • Train and communicate the marketing plans to the sales force and brand ambassadors.
  • Recruit and train brand ambassadors via simulation sessions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration, majoring in Marketing Management.
  • Good knowledge of the market
  • Experience managing key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (primarily excel, power point, and publisher)
  • 4-6 years’ experience in the consumer goods industry in sales, marketing, or trade marketing preferably
