Overview

This role is instrumental in impacting the success of NJ Lottery's Quick Draw game  by performing training for all new social space retailers, as well as, by performing in-store promotions in both the traditional and social space environments. As needed, will provide sales route coverage and support caused by short and long-term absences of sales reps.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to grow sales manage retailer goals.
  • Schedules, manages and provides draw-based game sales training for all new social space retailers.
  • Develops and executes in-store promotional events.
  • Provides new retailer support to ensure success of the client.
  • Maintains appropriate usage of promotional materials in social space retailers.
  • Maintain regular open communications with Training and Promotions Supervisor, Lottery Sales Representatives, and District Sales Supervisors.
  • Provides route coverage for sales/compliance requirements.
  • Assists with other projects as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Physical (% time: travel, operating machinery, environmental etc.)

  • Travel with in assigned territory nearly 100% of time worked.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must be available to work a non-traditional schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
  • Must live in close proximity to the territory.

Minimum education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or sales/marketing or related field

Years’ Experience

  • Minimum of three years of related sales experience, retail or wholesale.
  • Previous beer and wine industry experience a plus                      

Other skills

  • Must be able to speak clearly and persuasively with strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Expresses self well in group or in one-to-one conversations.
  • Must be able to produce written materials that are clear, concise and easily understood.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency speaking Spanish a plus.
