Business Development Manager - Hyderabad, IN

 

Are you a sales and business development professional with international experience, looking for your next challenge?  

 

We are seeking a dynamic Global Business Development Manager to boost revenue growth and improve our market reach in international lottery territories. This role is pivotal in identifying, developing, and closing strategic partnerships and sales opportunities across diverse global lottery markets, with a short to midterm focus on APAC growth! 

 

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of international business practices, excellent communication and negotiation skills, and a consistent record of achieving and exceeding business development targets! 

 

This role requires excellent leadership skills, requiring the candidate to have some technical sales experience leading long, sophisticated sales cycles (preferably within lottery or similar regulated markets). It is crucial that the candidate can manage multiple, senior stakeholders (Director, VPs and above), technical products and services to produce the most compelling proposition for new business.  

Responsibilities

 

Market Analysis and Strategy: 

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and potential business opportunities in targeted global regions. 
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer bases. 
  • Analyse market data and provide insights to inform strategic decision-making and product development.  
    • Execute and manage action plans deriving from sales development and planning activities  
    • Support the development of detailed strategic plans for key opportunities to provide early structure for the opportunity and communicate key opportunity related data. 

 

Lead Generation and Pipeline Development: 

  • Identify and qualify high-potential leads (B2B & B2C) through various channels, including networking, industry events, online research, and referrals. 
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurately forecasting revenue and tracking progress against targets. 
  • Develop and execute targeted outreach campaigns to engage potential clients and partners. 

 

Sales and Negotiation: 

  • Lead the sales process from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring favourable terms and conditions . 
  • Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to the needs of international clients. 
  • Work closely with internal teams such as legal, product and marketing. 

 

Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Track and report on key performance indicators, including sales revenue, pipeline growth, and market share. 
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and results. 
  • Maintain accurate records within the CRM system. 

 

Travel: 

  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally as the need arises to meet with clients, partners, consultants and attend industry events.  

 

Essential Job Requirements  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing, or a related field 
  • Demonstrated ability in business development and enterprise sales within technology sectors (SaaS, PaaS, outsourcing models, product sales). 
  • Some experience in managing multiple projects and programmes across multiple geographies/regions 
  • Proficiency in English (additional languages are helpful). 

 

Strong analytical skills. 

  • Experience responding to RFPs and RFIs and understanding of Government procurement processes 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, highly organized, fully proficient with MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint) Desirable 
  • Knowledge of APAC and India markets. 
  • MS Project and managing opportunities within Salesforce 
  • Full project and programme lifecycle knowledge and experience
