OVERALL OBJECTIVE & PURPOSE
The Business Communications Specialist will be responsible for the development and implementation of business, brand and stakeholder communications strategies, reinforcing the company mission, goals, position, reputation and image.
The Business Communications Specialist will be an ambassador for the business, leading employees by example by modelling IGT values and reinforcing the company’s mission, vision and strategic goals in order to drive the successful performance of the business.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
Develops, leads and implements business, brand, internal and external stakeholder communications strategies, campaigns and initiatives geared towards achieving business goals and objectives, while ensuring company’s brand, image and reputation are well represented, established and protected
• Identifies innovative approaches and platforms to support streamlined, timely effective communications and beneficial relations with internal and external stakeholders
• Works alongside business leads and teams to plan, deliver, execute communications strategies and tactical plans to support the following, including but not limited to:

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Enforces company communications processes in strict compliance with business and country regulations, protocols, policies and maintains a high level of confidentiality, professionalism and approach demonstrative of the IGT values
• Coordinates, executes and follows up on communications and identified stakeholder related business activities, including but not limited to ASA and CSR programs, sponsorships, business meetings, functions, promotions, employee engagement activities, retail store activations, etc., ensuring delivery within deadline and budget
• Researches and prepares/ drafts various communication material including media releases, speeches, training material, stakeholder correspondence etc
• Oversees the creation of communication/ collateral by other departments to ensure consistency with company communication guidelines and protocols
• Detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments
• Adhere to the company’s branding, ensuring that documents are produced with a high-quality and error-free
• Proactively identifies opportunities to positively promote and enhance the reputation and public position of the organization and its core stakeholders
• Defines KPis and establishes and implements effective mechanisms to monitor, measure, evaluate and report on communications deliverables
• Works closely with customers/ beneficiaries and other stakeholders to leverage and successfully execute CSR/ good cause/ sponsorship initiatives
• De-briefs and prepares company representatives ahead of internal and external stakeholder engagements (including media conference, regulator meetings, staff meetings etc)
• Leads the communications function in business Disaster Planning and Business Recovery situations
• Creates and facilitates communications- specific requirements in crisis management, guiding and de-briefing leadership teams where required
• Builds and maintains relationships with media partners across the business units
• Supports internal communications approaches and initiatives to foster employee engagement and communications
• Represents the company at events, conferences, meetings and other as identified
• Supports the management and resolution of escalated internal and external stakeholder complaints and issues
• Closely monitors, reports and recommends timely solutions/ ideas/ recommendations to micro and macro developments across the business units (including competitor)
• Prepares, manages, reconciles reports and other requirements
• Reconciles and maintains control of budget and other communications expenses
• Enables an environment of timely, efficient and high “Customer-first” service levels across the business
• Manages an up-to-date database and filing system in compliance with company process
• Clearly demonstrates and communicates the company’s mission, vision, values, goals, objectives and targets

• Is an ambassador for our company, actively participating and supporting company activities, events and employee volunteerism initiatives

REQUIREMENTS
ACADEMIC BACKGROUND
• Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Communications, Business Management, preferred
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5 years in strategic communications/ marketing communications/ stakeholder relationship management
• Experience in Lottery/ Gaming, Media, FMCG, Media, Telecoms industries will be an asset

• Demonstrated expert in business writing and communication (including drafting of speeches, media releases, formal business correspondence etc)
• Strong Computer skills, with experience in MS Office programs (including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Highly professional attitude with outstanding business etiquette, networking, negotiation, interpersonal skills
• Genuinely demonstrates a high level of integrity and maintains confidentiality of information acquired on the job
• Innovative, proactive, strategic thinker with a natural passion and drive for success and meticulous eye for detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead and successfully drive results in a dynamic, high-pressure, competitive, fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive attitude and proactive, solutions -focused approach, especially under stressful circumstances

• Able to work independently or with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams and partners (internal and external)
• Experience in business management and discipline with an eye on ROI and business development
• Flexible to work extended hours based on business needs (evenings, weekends, public holidays)
• Willing to travel on an "as needed" basis
